LCD Bias board assembly and installation. (for the biggy display only)

The biggy display is a high temperature / high contrast version requiring a negative bias.
This is done by inverting the +5 V supply on the DFD to -5 V using an ICL7660 chip.
Study all four pictures carefully before beginning assembly

Assemble the components on the bias board as
shown.
The bias board is designed to replace the contrast
control of the DFD board. The new contrast control
is on the bias board.

Complete assembly of the DFD, except for the contrast
control, then attach 3 AWG 20 solid wires (supplied)
bent to mate with the bias  board as shown to the right.
then install the bias board in the position
shown above.
